The Australian Slovaks' Association in Victoria invite you to the Easter craft workshop with Morena offering parade. Come along and try one of the traditional techniques of egg decorating, Easter whip weaving or try to make a figure of the Slavic goddess and join the Morena offering parade . An egg and spoon race of family teams is also on program.

Entry fee is $5 per person, $10 per family. Bring eggs or egg shells to decorate and an Easter themed food platter to share. Tea, coffee and cordial will be provided.

Last year, we had over 100 people join us at our summer grill party with beer on tap donated by Koliba Czech and Slovak Restaurant, traditional goulash, campfire grilled sausages and overnight camping. Little over a month before VodaFest 2012, we're throwing a summer party again and want to see you there!

Want your children to learn about Christmas in Europe, or bring back your memories from back home? Would you like to try traditional food and sweets, see customs and sing Christmas songs? Then make sure to join us at Sumava on the day, where a number of hands-on workshops will be on program. You will get to decorate your own Christmas ginger bread, as well as learn about unique pre-Christmas and Christmas Eve customs and rituals.

Entry fee is a Christmas themed food platter for four persons and a gold coin donation to cover costs.

With the weather getting better every day, already second Zumba event is planned at Sumava. The Zumba trainer Alenka Collis is full of energy and ready to get you moving. Your kids can play on the property while you're working out. Also, don't forget to bring a sausage for the camp fire BBQ later at night.

Wenceslaus is the main patron saint of the Czech Republic. The peoples of the Czech Republic and Slovakia have always venerated their great martyr, and in the past they have certainly shared deeply in his sufferings. Every year, at the anniversary of Saint Wenceslaus' death, they pray that the future will be happy and holy for these nations and for their sons and daughters who have made their home in Australia.

On the weekend before the Saint Wenceslaus celebrations, a working bee will be held at Sumava Peksa Park. Like every year at this time, the ouside areas will be cleaned up, and main hall prepared for lunch.

Bring your own food and drinks, camp fire and BBQ will be set up. Every helping hand is welcome!
