Babovka contest
It took some time for us to come up with an idea for the visitor home work activity, but we now know this is a good one!
We are pretty sure every single member of the Czech and Slovak community knows what Babovka is, what it looks like and, most importantly, what it tastes like. But there are only a few chosen ones who know how to make it, and to make it taste like the one from your granny.
If you claim to be a Czech or a Slovak and want to prove it, we dare you to enter the Babovka contest! If you are willing to spend an hour on the Friday night making a Babovka, and you reckon you are strong enough to protect it from your family until the Saturday morning, then you deserve to compete for the title of the best Babovka maker in Melbourne!
All you have to do to enter the competition is to bring a fresh Babovka to VodaFest on Saturday morning for the very carefully selected jury to decide who is to earn the respect of the community, who is the one, the Babovka Master 2010.
